[UNDERSTANDING FROM THE HADEETH]
- Since everything intoxicant is haram and sometimes Nabidh made from dates and raisins can become intoxicants, therefore from the perspective of Sadh al-Dhari’ i.e. a means to prevent a harm, we have been prohibited from drinking Nabidh.
- Islam is a Din that wishes good for humanity.
- Who is the trustworthy narrator referred to here? This is unclear, however in Sunan al-Kubra of al-Nasa’i (from Tuhfatul Ashraf 9:261 no.12119) and Tamhid (24:206), Amr bin al-Harith who is trustworthy, transmits from Bukayr bin Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj, there are also authentic supporting narrations which support this hadith, therefore this hadith is authentic wa Lillahil Hamd.
