Performing Sa’e between Safa and Marwa
[146] From Malik from Jafar ibn Muhammad from his father from Jabir ibn Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Sallam), walked when he came down from Safa and Marwa and then, when he reached the middle of the valley, he broke into a light run until he had left it.

[UNDERSTANDING FROM THE HADITH]
1) An individual should walk between Safa and Marwa when doing Sa’e and if an individual has a sharia compliant excuse such as an illness then it is allowed for that individual to perform Sa’e on a wheelchair, being carried on their companions shoulders or lying down on a bed.
2) If an individual performing Sa’e assists and carries another person to perform Sa’e for a wage or for free, then the Sa’e of the individual who provides the help and support is valid and this is the same ruling for Tawaf also.
3) The Sa’e should be performed after performing the Tawaf of the House of Allah therefore doing Tawaf first and then doing the Sa’e is incorrect.
